When high security is required the fencing system used consists of two galvanized or PVC coated wires twisted together (body) which carry four spikes with small gaps between them as specified by ASTM A121. It can be adjusted either to the existing fencing system or used independently as a barrier.
There are two types of galvanized wire:
Common type galvanized wire: up to 150 gr/m2
Hot-dip galvanized wire: up to 370 gr/m2
The metal quality complies with the ASTM A510M, SAE 1006 and SAE 1008 specifications and the galvanization with DIN 1548 and BS 443. The barbed wires are twisted while in a line with four parallel wires on the conveyor belts moving towards the machine. Two wires are twisted to construct the body and two are used to construct the spikes. Each spike has four points. The distance between the spikes varies depending on the customer's order:
