The Terramesh system consists of the Terramesh gabion and the soil reinforcement grid. After the Terramesh gabion is filled, the grid is laid on the suitably prepared soil to be embanked and boxed (ground reinforcement). Terramesh gabions are 2.00 to 3.00m long and 0.50 to 1.00m tall. The length of the grid is usually specified in the technical report and is often 2.00 – 12.00m long. The edges of the gabion are reinforced with wire of larger diameter than that of the mesh. The grid, the lid and the base of the gabion should be one continuous panel of mesh, so that we can have the maximum reinforcement after the embankment.
