When high security fencing is needed a special fencing system is used. It consists of a reinforced metal line with dense spikes in the shape of an ax, pressed onto a high elasticity wire. It can be adjusted either to the existing fencing system or used independently as a barrier. This kind of fencing is commonly used in military camps, airports, oil refineries, prisons, factories and generally in places where high security is required. It was produced in order to replace the common barbed wire and to deter and protect from intruders. The razor blade catches and cuts differently form the common barbed wire. The steel wire used to manufacture the razor wire helps spirals retain their shape. It is also reinforced with minimum point of tensile strength 800 kg, so that it cannot be cut with common tools.

The razor wire has many uses and can be adjusted to offer the protection required. It is ideal for low fences to maximize security at minimum cost. Also, it adjusts to the terrain and can therefore be used without any poles or supporting wire (e.g. pyramid formation).
