The wire cylinders are cylindrical wire boxes with a diameter of 0.50 – 1.00m and a height of 1.00 – 3.00m (the dimensions are determined on a case-by-case basis by the study of the protection works). The most common dimensions are 2mX0.60m, 2mX0.90m , 3mX0.60m & 3mX0.90m. They are reinforced with wire of a larger diameter in height. They are applied to slope linings, to protect the foot of slopes and bed layers of streams, rivers and other projects as well as for the foundation of constructions from other types of wire boxes, as their flexibility and shape allows easier adaptation to the ground.
